FIRST DAY OF APRIL

" April rain is here again;
Hear it pitter, pitter, patter,
On the leaves and on the trees,
See it spitter, spitter, spatter.
Rain, oh rain, don't go away
We need you for flow'rs in May;
Drip, drip, drop and do not stop,
Send a little rain our way."
~Nina B. Hartford~

"The first of April, some do say, is
set apart for All Fools' Day. But why
the people call it so, nor I nor they
themselves do know. But on the day
are people sent on purpose for pure
merriment."
~Poor Robin's Almanac, 1790~

I loved reading the two poems. Infact we're getting rain today. A good way to start off the month of April. April showers bring May flowers. Our grass is just now starting to turn green...slightly.

Happy April to you! I hope you don't get any tricks played on you today!

And don't go playing any on others, either!

Alabama is as beautiful as California in the Spring.
Love the poems. May April bring you sunshine and flowers.

aYes it is Farmlady. I have been in many states and they all have their own beauty. Spring is beautiful here. I have been away from my home state of California many years, but I have fond memories of my mothers flowers, she had a green thumb. Glad you liked the poems. Have a great day.
