HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

                         Our Independence Day
With our first fourth on that seventh month began
a declaration of how we would forge our life
in signature, John Hancock did lead by action
the beginning of a nation which has firmly stood

As we stop to embrace our independence Day
we should reflect back from this sixth millennium year
looking to the many trials we have faced as a country
most vividly, to that infamous September morn

We have never, and never will succumb to threat
Our rigid foundation is of, by, and for the people
We heed the message of President John F.  Kennedy
it is what we do for our country that stand us all

As good citizens we put our trust in God, and each other
and one flag we stand, united for all the world to see
our Stars and Stripes from the Old Glory we so revere
and how gallant are those  who march with our colors
As Americans we hold freedom as a certainty
Our bravest have given this all to this end
If not for their willingness, we would not be
The cost of liberty demands this commitment

So many have endured the precious loss of loved ones
We must stay aware of the tragedy they lived with
For they, more than any, feel the total cost of sacrifice
Praise their fallen heroes, they left freedom  for us

My dear Americans, as we take time to celebrate
this independence held so deep in our hearts
I hope the following thoughts of America
bring forth emotion, for the USA we love

We shall always be 'the land of the free'
We shall always be 'the home of the brave'
We shall always hear 'God Bless America'
We shall always love 'Mom and apple pie'
~Roger J. Robicheau~

Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July!

WELCOME THE MONTH OF JULY

"We go in withering July to ply the hard incessant hoe; panting beneath the brazen sky we sweat and grumble, but we go."    ~Ruth Pitter~

"Answer July--
Where is the bee-
Where is the blush-
Where is the hay.
Ah, said July-
Where is the seed-
Where is the bud-
Where is the May-
Answer thee - me-"
~Emily Dickinson~

HAPPY FATHERS DAY AND FIRST DAY OF SUMMER

My dad has been gone for quite some time but I still have happy memories of the things we used to do when I was young.  He took us fishing, deer hunting, and mushroom hunting.  He was a hard worker and a wonderful father.   Happy Father's Day dad.

My husband, the father of our 4 children has been gone it will be 3 years come August.  We did everything together from the time we were married till he passed on.  He was a good dad to his children and only wanted the best for them.  Happy Father's Day, Karl.

To  my son,Kenneth and 3 sons-in-law Bob, Brian, and Alex, grandson Eric, and granddaughters husband, Bill a  very Happy Father's Day.   Have a wonderful and relaxing day.   Love to all.

WELCOME THE MONTH OF JUNE

"It's beautiful the summer month of June when all of God's own wildflowers are in bloom and sun shines brightly most part of the day and butterflies o'er lush green meadows play.

Light hearted skylark songsters of the wind high o'er the quiet and lonely moorland sing above her nest cloaked by the tangled heath her charming song so exquisitely sweet.

So mellow the gentle breath of June day breeze the birds rejoicing on the leafy trees and dappled  trout in pool bed of the stream back in the sun their spotted skins agleam."

ARMED FORCES DAY

To day is Armed Forces Day.   Let's remember the men and women who have served in time of war or peace.  God bless them all.   God  bless America.

In my family many served:
my dad was a WW1 veteran, his brother was a WW11 veteran, my husband was a Korean veteran, my brother was in the navy and I had many cousins who also served and were all in the navy.  Most of  them  are no longer with us but I am so proud that they saw their duty to serve their country and they did it without question.  They all came home safe and lived a full and happy life. My brother and one cousin are still with us the others have gone on to a better place.  God bless them all.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

                                      How God created mother

God took the fragrance of a flower, the majesty of a tree, the gentleness of morning dew, the calm of a quiet sea, the beauty of a twilight hour, the soul of a starry night, the laughter of the rippling brook, the grace of a bird in flight.   Then God fashioned from these things a creation like no other, and when his masterpiece was through he called it simply....MOTHER
                            ~Author Unknown~

When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts.  A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.
                            ~Sophia Loren~

The bond between mothers and their children is one defined by love.  As a mother's prayers for her children are unending, so are the wisdom, grace and strength they provide to their children.
                      ~President George W. Bush~

Any women can be a mother but it takes someone special to be called "MOM".

WELCOME THE MERRY MONTH OF MAY

"It's May!  It's  May! The lusty month of May!   Those dreary vows that everyone makes, everyone breaks.  Everyone makes divine mistakes!   The lusty month of May!"
        ~Lerner and Lowe~

"Hebe's here, May is here!  The air is fresh and sunny; and the miser-bees are busy hoarding golden honey."
   ~Thomas Bailey Aldrich~

"When April steps aside for May, like diamonds all the rain-drops glisten; fresh violets open every day.  To some new bird each hour we listen."
       ~Lucy Larcom~

"Sweet May hath come to love us, flowers, trees, their blossoms don; and though the blue heavens above us the very clouds move on."
      ~Heinrich Heine~

HAPPY EASTER

                       A Blessed Easter

Easter comes with spring which exhibits great rebirth all the wonders of God's creation come alive upon this earth.   But the greatest wonder to behold and cherish dear, is living with the knowledge that our lord, he did appear, he died for all of us to cast our sins away.   His death was not in vain, though, if we live in him each day.   ~Sharon Donnelly~

Easter bunny soft and white, hopping quickly out of sight, thank you for the eggs you bring, at Easter time to welcome spring.  Yellow eggs and blue and red in the grass and flower bed.  We will hunt them everywhere.  Is it really you who put them there?     ~Author Unknown~

Wishing a blessed and wonderful Easter to all.

WELCOME THE MONTH OF APRIL

You can always tell it's April by the sound of falling rain that mystic, mournful music as it trickles down the drain.  We're told we should be thankful for the kiss of April showers as it washes all the grass clean and prepares the soil for flowers.  There's another side to April which doesn't bade us good, when that mini, manic maelstrom turns the lawn to liquid mud. "
      ~Thomas Vaughn  Jones~

" I have seen the lady April bringing the daffodils, bringing the springing grass and the soft warm April rain."
         ~John Masefield~

" The first of April, some do say, is set apart for all Fools' Day.  But why the people call it so, nor I, nor they themselves do know.  But on this day are people sent on purpose for pure merriment."

WELCOME THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING

"The March wind roars like a lion in the sky, and makes us shiver as he passes by.   When winds are soft, and the days are warm and clear, just like a gentle lamb, then spring is here."   ~Author Unknown~

"March bustles in on windy feet and sweeps my doorstep and my street.   She washes and  cleans with pounding rains, scrubbing the earth of winter stains.  she shakes the grime from carpet green till naught but fresh new blades are seen.  Then, house in order, all neat as a pin, she ushers gentle springtime in."   ~Susan Reiner~

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY

"St. Patrick's Day is here, you see. We'll pick some shamrocks, one, two, three.   We'll count the leaves and look them over, and maybe find a four-leafed clover.  I'll sew green buttons on my vest, green for St. Patrick is the best.   I'll wear a green hat, very high, and dance a jig--at least I'll try!"
        ~ Author Unknown~

                                      An Irish Prayer
