OUTDOORS SEPTEMBER SUNFLOWERS DECORATIONS

Most of my outside decorations I bought at Michaels, Dollar Tree and Dollar General.  The little picket fence with the crow and sunflower is a craft I painted years ago when we were in the craft business.

WELCOME THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER

"By all these lovely tokens September days are here, with summer's best of weather and autumn's best of cheer."
                 ~Helen Hunt Jackson~

"September days have the warmth of summer in their brief hours, but in their lengthening evenings a prophetic breath of autumn.  The cricket chips in the noontide, making the most of what remains of his brief live.  The bumblebee is busy among the clover blossoms of the aftermath, and their shrill and dreamy hum hold the outdoor world above the voices of the song birds now silent or departed,"
          ~Rowland E. Robinson~

"When the goldenrod is yellow and leaves are turning brown - reluctantly the summer goes in a cloud of thistledown.  when squirrels are harvesting and birds in flight appear - by these autumn signs we know September days are here."
         ~Beverly Ashour~

Have a wonderful and blessed September.

WELCOME THE MONTH OF AUGUST

" Fairest of the months!  Ripe summer's  queen the hey-day of the year with robes that gleam with sunny sheer sweet august doth appear."
               ~R. Combe  Miller~

The brilliant poppy flaunts her head amidst the ripening grain, and adds her voice to see the song that August's here again."
            ~Helen Winslow~

"In august, the large masses of berries, which when in flower, had attracted many with bees, gradually assumed their bright velvety crimson here, and by their  weight again bent down and broke their tender limbs.
         ~Henry David Thoreau~

"August rushes by like desert rainfall, a flood of frenzied repheaval, expected but still catching me unprepared, like a matchflame bursting on the scene, heat and haze of crimson sunsets, like a dream of moon and dark barely recalled, a moment, shadows caught in  a blink.  Like a quick kiss; one wishes for more but it suddenly turns to leave, dragging summer away."
             ~Elizabeth Maria Taylor~

Wishing everyone a blessed and lovely August.

WELCOME THE MONTH OF JULY

"The summer looks out from her brazen tower, through the flashing bars of July."
              ~Francis Thompson~

"Oh, the summer night has a smile of light and she sits on a sapphire throne."
        ~Barry Cornwall~

"We go in withering July to ply the hard incessant hoe; panting beneath the brazen sky we sweat and grumble, but we go"
      ~Ruth Pitter~

"Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit.  A few of those days and you an become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world."
               ~Ada Louise Huxtable~

Wishing everyone a great month of July and a wonderful summer.

WELCOME THE MONTH OF JUNE

" It is the month of June, the month of leaves and roses, when pleasant sights salute the eyes and pleasant scents the noses."
       ~Nathaniel Parker Willis~

" It's beautiful the summer month of June when all of God's own wildflowers are in bloom and sun shines brightly most part of the day and butterflies o'er lush green meadows play.

Light hearted skylark songster of the wing high o'er the quiet and lonely moorland sing above her nest cloaked by the tangled heath her charming song so exquisitely sweet.

So mellow the gentle breath of June day breeze the birds rejoicing on the leafy trees and doppled trout in pool bed of the stream bask in the sun their spotted skins agleam."
                  ~Francis Duggan~

RED, WHITE AND BLUE DECORATIONS

I have my home inside and outside decorated with flags and other items that are patriotic.  They will stay up until after the 4th of July.  Some of the items my husband and I made when we were in the craft business, others I got at yard sales or from the Dollar Tree store or other stores when I found them on sale.  Enjoy this Armed Forces Day and the following photos.

Some of you have already seen these photos but some of my new followers have not.
