                       A Blessed Easter

Easter comes with spring which exhibits great rebirth all the wonders of God's creation come alive upon this earth.   But the greatest wonder to behold and cherish dear, is living with the knowledge that our lord, he did appear, he died for all of us to cast our sins away.   His death was not in vain, though, if we live in him each day.   ~Sharon Donnelly~

Easter bunny soft and white, hopping quickly out of sight, thank you for the eggs you bring, at Easter time to welcome spring.  Yellow eggs and blue and red in the grass and flower bed.  We will hunt them everywhere.  Is it really you who put them there?     ~Author Unknown~

Wishing a blessed and wonderful Easter to all.

You can always tell it's April by the sound of falling rain that mystic, mournful music as it trickles down the drain.  We're told we should be thankful for the kiss of April showers as it washes all the grass clean and prepares the soil for flowers.  There's another side to April which doesn't bade us good, when that mini, manic maelstrom turns the lawn to liquid mud. "
      ~Thomas Vaughn  Jones~

" I have seen the lady April bringing the daffodils, bringing the springing grass and the soft warm April rain."
         ~John Masefield~

" The first of April, some do say, is set apart for all Fools' Day.  But why the people call it so, nor I, nor they themselves do know.  But on this day are people sent on purpose for pure merriment."

"The March wind roars like a lion in the sky, and makes us shiver as he passes by.   When winds are soft, and the days are warm and clear, just like a gentle lamb, then spring is here."   ~Author Unknown~

"March bustles in on windy feet and sweeps my doorstep and my street.   She washes and  cleans with pounding rains, scrubbing the earth of winter stains.  she shakes the grime from carpet green till naught but fresh new blades are seen.  Then, house in order, all neat as a pin, she ushers gentle springtime in."   ~Susan Reiner~

"St. Patrick's Day is here, you see. We'll pick some shamrocks, one, two, three.   We'll count the leaves and look them over, and maybe find a four-leafed clover.  I'll sew green buttons on my vest, green for St. Patrick is the best.   I'll wear a green hat, very high, and dance a jig--at least I'll try!"

                                      An Irish Prayer

May God give you, for every storm, a rainbow, for every tear, a smile, for every care, a promise, and a blessing for every trial, for every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sign, a sweet song, and an answer for each prayer.

" I am a little groundhog, it's my day.  Wake and stretch, go out and play. Down in my burrow, down so deep, time to wake from my long winter's sleep.   Grumble, grumble, scratch, scratch, grunt, grunt , yawn.   I'll eat my breakfast in your front lawn.   I'm a little groundhog, it's my day.  Wake up and stretch, go out and play.    ~Author Unknown~

Another fresh new year is here...another year to live!  To banish worry, doubt, and fear.   To love and laugh and give!  This bright new year is given me to live each day with daily grow and try to be my highest and best!  I have the opportunity once more to right some wrongs, to pray for peace, to plant a tree, and sing more joyful songs!   ~William Arthur Ward~

I am going to try my best to do all the above.  Have a very Happy New Year and  may God bless each and everyone of you.   Madeline

                                       Merry Christmas

Christmas wishes tried and true I'm sending now, just for you...a little love, a little cheer, and wishes for a great New Year!  Hope Santa brings you gifts galore with more surprises still in store.   May all your Christmas dreams come true and may God's blessings be yours too.   ~Author Unknown~

Christmas is a holiday for friends, however they may be, or not, related.  Remember that the three wise kings were strangers in search of one remote, uncanny dream.  So may we all be for more than we seem, together bound for dark and haunting changes, more lovely for the loves we have created along the lonely paths from means to end, stumbling towards the star of Bethlehem.  ~Nicholas Gordon~

MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all.

"On the first day of winter, the earth awakens to the cold touch of itself.  Snow knows no other recourse except this falling, this sudden letting go over the small gnomed bushes, all the emptying trees. Snow puts beauty back into the withered and malnourished, into the death wish of nature and the deliberate way winter insists on nothing less then deference.   Waiting all its life, snow says, "Let me cover you."  ~Laura Lush~

"December finds himself  again a  child even as he under goes his age.   Cold and early darkness now descends, embracing sanctuaries of delights.   More and more he stares into the night, becoming less and less concerned with ends, emblem of the innocent as sage restored to wonder by what he must yield.     ~Nicholas Gordon~

Sweet December

Sweet December my light, my ember the end of September, October, November.   ~Author Unknown~

"I heard a bird sing in the dark of December a magical thing and sweet to remember.
"We are nearer to spring than we  were in September.  I heard a bird sing in the dark of December.'
~Oliver Herford~

Have a wonderful month of December my friends.   Madeline

"November comes and November goes, with the last red berries and the first white snows.  With night coming early and dawn coming late, and ice in the bucket and frost by the gate.  The fires burn and the kettles sing, and earth sinks to rest until next spring."    ~Elizabeth Coatsworth~

There's a goblin at my window, a monster
by my door.  The pumpkin at my table
keeps smiling more and more.  There's a
ghost who haunts my bedroom, a witch
whose face is green.  They used to be my
family, till they  dressed for Halloween.

Hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween.
