FIRST SNOW OF THE YEAR 2017

We didn't get much snow, not enough to measure at my house.  It is awfully cold this morning but the sun is shining and I bet the snow will melt fast.  Some of the streets are icy and they are saying do not travel until after noon time.   I plan on staying indoors until it is safe to go out and when it warms up some.  Today it is only going to be in the 20's.   I will work on my pillow cases.  Hope where you are it is warmer.

SNOWMEN AND SNOWFLAKES

Below are my snowmen and snowflakes that I have decorating my home inside and outside for the month of January.  Some of the snowmen were given to me by my children , some I bought myself or picked up a yard sales.  The snowflakes on my windows I bought at the Dollar Tree.

I hope you all enjoyed this post .  The wreath in the last photo is made with snowflakes that I bought at the Dollar Tree.  If you click on the photo you can see the snowflakes much better.

WELCOME JANUARY 2017

" January is here, with eyes that keenly glows, a frost-mailed warrior striding a shadowy steed of snow.   ~Edgar Fawcett~

"The first of January rolls around like clockwork it appears I find it's timing most profound as it brings us each New Year.  Right on time, it's never late has never blown it apparently this wise old date refuses to postpone it.  Drink a toast to January one for annual consistence it's coming means the old year's done let's drink to it persistence.     ~Stanley Cooper~

"Little January tapped at my door today and said "Put on your winter wraps, and come outdoors to play."  Little January is always full of fun; until the set of sun,  Little January will stay a month with me and we will have such jolly times - Just come along and see."    ~Winifred C. Marshall~

" January brings the snow, makes our feet and fingers glow."     ~Sara Coleridge~

Happy New Year.   Hope 2017 will be a great and wonderful year for all relatives and friends.
