A THOUGHT FOR THURSDAY

Finish every day and be done with it. You have
done what you could. Some blunders and
absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as
soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin
it well and serenely and with too high spirit to be
cumbered with your old nonsense. This day is
all that is good and fair. It is too dear, with its
hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on the
yesterdays.

That's good advice from Mr. Emerson!

P.S. Your gladiola is pretty!

I absolutely LOVED this! I've never heard of it before. Thanks for posting it up on your blog. Isn't it true though? We're all stuck on what "happend" and what we need to do it just continue to move forward. And to treat a new day as a new beginning. What great advice. I sure hope your week is going good.

True words. We do waste too much time worrying about things we can't change. Moving forward is always the best direction.
That is a beautiful Gladiola.
