The above picture is of my husband's tomato plants.
They were planted sometime after Good Friday
and were tiny, tiny plants. Now they are five foot
tall and already have tomatoes on them. He always
has to have the first large green tomato to fry. So
for lunch he fried the tomatoes, corn on the cob, and
smoked pork chops all cooked on the grill. Boy was it
ever good. I'll have to admit he is a better cook then
I am. We topped it off with strawberry short cake for
dessert ( my contribution ). Pictured below is how
his first green fried tomato of the year turned out.
Take my word for it they were delicious.

Sounds like a good lunch (even though I don't care for tomatoes).
I hope Dad's other plants are doing well, too!
Thank you Deann for your nice comment. Yes Dad's pepper plants are doing well and have small peppers on them.
That sounds so delicious! I just love all of your red, white, and blue ♥
Thank you Carol for your kind comments. I like all of your red, white, and blue also, especially Miss Charli in her little outfit.

Oh my gosh!! Can we come over for lunch tomorrow?
That's a great lunch! I bought Lodi strawberries in the valley last week and we have been indulging too.
