I now read that in Italy Columbus Day (Giornata nazionale di Cristoforo Colombo) is officially celebrated on the 12th of October since 2004. It's a fascinating part of European and American history. Happy Columbus to you, dear Madeline! Your header is gorgeous, and I used to have a black cat just like the one in your image. In my life I have had in all, 3 black cats...(2 were twins, male and female,) and then later on another female. They all had sweet dispositions and the twins had beautiful copper/yellow eyes and the other one had green eyes. :)
