ANOTHER PAIR OF PILLOWCASES

Although I had already embroidered a pair just like the
ones pictured above, I could not pass up a bargain at a
yard sale where I found these still in the original package
and all the thread to work them for only $1.00.

HALLOWEEN IS COMING

Two of my halloween stake outs I painted
years ago. When my husband and I
used to be in the craft business he would
cut out the items and I would paint them.
It was fun seeing them in the neighbor's
yards.

One of my many picket fences. I still use
this one for different holidays.

Mr. Scarecrow watches over the
birdhouse and pumpkin.

Another stake out greets visitors
as they come to sit awhile and chat.

More of my handywork. The birdhouse is
one my Husband made just for me.

Pumpkins I painted. They look cute, I think, on my
fence it faces the road so people can see them when
they drive by.

More decorations on the fence.

More of my Pumpkins. I liked painting cute one not the
scary ones.

Ghosts on the same fence. The one holding the pumpkin
is waving to the people as they pass by.

The large ghost is now joined by a smaller one waving
away all the day and night.

Scarecrow, wind sock, and pumpkin stake out in what everyone
calls my court yard.

My little tool house (built by my husband) is always
decorated for every holiday.

Front entrance with many decoration. Some I painted and
some I purchased at yard sales.

I even caught myself in this picture, taking the picture, I
guess I could say it is a ghostly image.

Some of my finds at yard sales . Cute when they are lit up.

I love the pumpkin, it changes colors. The little ghost when
up push in on his tummy says boo did I scare you. The
witch is a cutie. All are finds at yard sales.

The little ghost are made of wood and painted by me. The
pumpkins are more yard sale finds.

I always have candy on hand. The glass pumpkins are
filled with m&m's and hershey kisses. The orange and
black bowl (another yard sale find) is filled with mini
candy bars.

CARDINALS VISIT TO BIRD FEEDER

A beautiful cardinal caught before he
started to eat.
A little fuzzy but this cardinal was
the brightest red. I had to be
careful not to scare it away that
is probably why it did not turn out
the way I would have liked it to.

I was able to catch the above
pictures of cardinals that came
to eat from one of my bird feeders
while I was relaxing on my swing
late yesterday afternoon. I enjoy
watching the different birds as they
come to eat at the end of the day.
This one I got one eating and one
patiently waiting its turn.

WASHINGTON ZUCCHINI

It seem like everything grows larger in the state of
Washington. This zucchini was grown by my daughter.
Her garden is small but boy does it ever produce the
vegetables. She grows different types of tomatoes, zucchini,
yellow crook neck squash, and even has a couple of cantaloupe
plants. She has a green thumb like my mother had.

TRIP TO VIST DAUGHTER AND FAMILY

My husband and I made our yearly trip out to Battle
Ground, Washington to visit our daughter, Kara, her
husband and our 4 youngest grandchildren. We had
a great time. When it got time to leave and come home
it was a little sad and a few tears were shed, hopefully
we will be able to make it back there next year.

Pictured here are just 4 of the reasons why we try to visit
at least once a year. Left to right: Logan, Drake, Bryce and
Peyton. Oh yes and Copper the dog.

We celebrated Drake's 6 birthday while we were out there.
The cake shown above shows the theme for his party. There
were about 20 guest in all. It was fun to see the expression
on his face when he opened each present.

Boy did his eyes get big when he opened the card from
Mamaw and Pawpaw. Money is always a hit with kids.

Logan and Drake dressed up to have their school pictures
made. Aren't they handsome.

My daughter has always cut Logan's hair. Here he is after
his first trip to the barbers Logan before his trip to the barber.

Bryce (in front) Peyton (in middle) Drake (in back) playing
with swords. Bryce who is only 2 keeps up with Peyton who
is 4 and Drake who is 6. He holds his own believe me.

My husband, Karl, celebrated his birthday while we were
out there. Our daughter baked him a yummy chocolate
cake. In fact he had two celebrations before we left home. Our
other two daughters brought him his gifts before we left on
our trip.

We had to go watch Logan and Drake practice their
Taekwondo. They were doing the crab walk here, which
is one of their exercises. They also showed off their kicks,
breaking boards with the hands, elbows, and feet and
wrestling technics. Drake is on the left and Logan on the
right.

My daughter grows a garden every year. Pictured above
is a squash out of her garden I have tried to show how
big it is compared to an apple. She also has zucchini, tomatoes,
and even cantaloupes.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I want to wish my grandson,
Grant, a happy 19th birthday,
and my grandson, Drake, a happy
6th birthday.
