PILLOWCASES

This is what I do in my spare time (and I have lots of spare time.)  I received two pairs as Christmas presents.  I finished these the other day. They have been washed and ironed and put away and will be given as a gift to someone.  When I am not embroidering I am crocheting granny afghans that are also given as gifts.  Right now I am working on the other pillowcases.

Hi Madeline, they are beautiful! My mother had some pillow cases similar to the ones you have done here, a few decades ago and I always loved them. Great work! :)

Hello dear Madeline

Your pillowslips are lovely.
I didn't know you were an embroiderer too!
I've embroidered Christmas stockings for my three granddaughters - all in cross stitch and all angels!
They were such a joy to work on but I'm not so keen on sewing them up!
When I was young I made most of my own clothes - as we did in late fifties and sixties but I've lost the confidence to do that now.
I still enjoy looking at pattern books!
Warm hugs
Shane
