Winter Time
Icy fingers and icy toes, bright red cheeks and
bright red nose.
Watch the snowflakes as they fall, try so hard
to count them all.
Build a snowman way up high, see if it can
touch the sky.
Snow forts, snowballs, angels too, in the snow
so white and new.
Slip and slide and skate so fast, winter time
is here at last.

Ah. The shortest day of the year. We can look forward to longer daylight hours. :) We need desperately need snow!
I've been experiencing those icy finger and icy toes the past few days!
Merry Christmas Madeline,
Lovely tribute to Winter. I remember this poem from somewhere. Love it!
Hope you and your family have a peaceful holiday and that the New Year brings you many blessings.
I love this wintery poem...we had the most awful dust storm today...now I have to dust everything all over again before family arrives tomorrow. :(
Have a great Christmas with your family.
Love, bj
We received a couple of inches of snow! Merry Christmas!
