SPRINGTIME WREATH AND AFGHAN

This is the springtime wreath I made.  After checking the prices of wreaths
at the stores I realized I could make one cheaper.  I had the wisteria, birds
and butterflies.  All I had to buy was the grapevine wreath and a bunch of
daffodils. 

This is the Easter or springtime Afghan I just finished to go with the rest of
my Easter decorations. 

Today and tomorrow it is supposed to be warm so I will work out in the yard.
Then I will start on my next project embroidering the pillowcases I got for
my birthday. 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KATIE AND ME

Wishing my granddaughter, Katie, a very happy birthday. I truly hope all your dreams come true. I fondly remember the day when you were a small girl and we used to celebrate our birthdays together. God has blessed me with 77 years on this planet earth and I hope he will allow me to stay awhile longer. It has been a good life so far. I had a wonderful husband for 57 years before the good Lord took him to be with him. I have 4 wonderful kids and their spouses, 11 grandchildren all with their own talents, and 3 great grandchildren. I have been blessed in many many ways.

TABLE RUNNER

I have finished the table runner I was embroidering. It still needs to be washed and ironed then it will look a little bit better then it does now. I will use it when I display my snowmen in the month of January..

ADAM'S ACT SCORE

I am so proud of my grandson, Adam, he made a 34 on his ACT. Almost perfect. This is the second time he took it. The first time he made a 33. If he takes it again he may make it a perfect score of 36. Either way he did great both times.

PILLOWCASES

These are the pillowcases I finished. With time on my hands like I have I have to have something to do especially when it is cold or rainy like it has been. Now I am working on a table runner. Will post pictures of it when I am finished with it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRYCE

First birthday of the year. My youngest grandson, Bryce, is 7 years old today. I hope he has a wonderful day with lots of surprises. Love you.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Valentine's Day is for lovers. All of you who still have that someone special in your life remember them on this day and every day. As you know my someone special passed away last year, but he is still in my heart and the memories of the 57 years we had together are very dear to me. I still have my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to send valentine cards to. Hope all of you have a Happy and Blessed Day.

PUZZLES

This is how I have been spending my free time on these cold days. I was given these puzzles as Christmas gifts. In all I have put together (with the help of my daughter) three l000 piece puzzles..I did not take a picture of the first one because it had a piece missing and I sort of messed it up by tipping the board I had it on and it came apart in pieces. It was very pretty a town in Italy. Now that I am finished with puzzles for a while I have to find something else to do.

WELCOME THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY

February is the shortest month of the year. It is the month we celebrate ground hog day, valentines day, presidents day and last but not least it is heart month. I have put away all my snowmen for another year and have put out my valentine decorations. Below are pictures of some of my decorations.

SNOWING

It has been snowing all afternoon. I went out to get my mail and took some pictures. It is piling up and the roads are getting covered. Please be careful if you are out driving in this.

It was supposed to be only a dusting but the way it looks now we will get more than a dusting. I just measured two and a half inches and it is still coming down.

PILLOWCASES

During this cold weather I have been staying in doors embroidering these pillowcases I received for Christmas. It is the first time I have seen a pair that is stamped to cover the front of the pillowcases, usually they are stamped along the edge. Now that I have finished them I am working on the jigsaw puzzles I received.
