WELCOME THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER

The wild November come at last beneath a veil of rain, the night wind blows its folds aside - her face is full of pain.   The latest of her race, she takes the autumn's vacant throne; she has but one short moon to live, and she must live alone.
               ~R. H. Stoddard~

November comes and November goes, with the last red berries and the first white snow. With night coming early, and dawn coming late, and ice in the bucket and frost by the gate.  The fires burn and the kettles sing, and earth sinks to rest until next spring.
         ~Elizabeth Coatsworth~

When chill November's surly blast made fields and forest bare.
         ~Robert Burns~

Fear not November's challenge bold-  we've books and friends and hearths that never can grow cold!  These make amends!
           ~Alexander L. Frazer~
