PURSLANE PLANTS, KNOCKOUT ROSES WILD VIOLETS AND YELLOW POND IRIS

I have three planters like this one each has 3 purslane plants in them 2 reds 1 yellow.

My knockout roses that my husband planted a few years ago are now blooming.

Where I once had a fish pond I still have the pond iris that are in bloom.

Some of the wild violets I have, this bunch is on the bank.  Click photos to enlarge.

So good to see you're enjoying your garden Madeline - Spring is the jewel of the gardening calendar.
Your fishpond area is interesting with the little bridge above it.
Irises are a fave of mine and I love your statuary.
I had several hours in my garden yesterday trimming and shaping a new hedge - oh the back!
I can't do those big days any more and I was in bed by 8pm!

Thank you Shane. I have been enjoying this spring weather working in the yard. I too trimmed some bushes and pulled grass out of one of my flower beds. At my age I too take it easy.

Very pretty flowers. Your knockout rose is lovely. I have never been able to get purslane to survive, it seems to thrive for everyone else. I am running so late with my flower beds this year. Won't be able to plant my zinnia seeds until the end of this week. I'm hoping the weather will be good for seed planting then.

Thank you Susie. Purslane needs lots of sun. Hope the weather will be good for you to plant your zinnia seeds.

I love your fish pond. I just planted zinnia seeds too. We will see if they take. This is my first year any hints? Fingers crossed?
