PILLOWCASES
These are the last pair of pillowcases I was given at Christmas. I learned to embroider at a very early age, my mother taught me. I have enjoyed doing this for many years . It gives me a lot of pleasure to give these to my relatives and friends.

PILLOWCASES
This is what I do in my spare time (and I have lots of spare time.) I received two pairs as Christmas presents. I finished these the other day. They have been washed and ironed and put away and will be given as a gift to someone. When I am not embroidering I am crocheting granny afghans that are also given as gifts. Right now I am working on the other pillowcases.

SNOWMEN COLLECTION
These are four of my new snowmen added to my collection this year thanks to my daughter, Deann who gave them to me.
This one sits in my living room next to my franklin stove.
This one I call the tin man if you touch him he jiggles.
This one is cute and a little on the heavy side.
This one is made of wood I have him hanging in the back room off my kitchen.
The following pictures are some of my older collection and are my favorites.
I have always liked this one.
This one hangs on the back door. I think I got it at a yard sale years ago.
This one I brought at K-Mart a couple of years ago.
This one is made of glass I got it at a yard sale.
Ceramic snowmen with a saying I have always liked (Snowflakes are angel kisses.)
Not sure where are when I got this one . He also sits on my franklin stove in the living room.
This snowman dressed in gold sits on the railing in my living room.
Another snowman also sitting on my railing in the living room.
I believe I got this little fellow at K-Mart.
This little fellow is holding a towel. Not sure where I got him.
Here are a few more of my collection.
These four snowmen are made of tin. The second from the left is a birdhouse.
Snowman tin, snowmen dishes, and a couple of snowmen I have on my coffee table in the great room.
More snowmen. I have sitting around.
This is the last snowman I have purchased a door hanger.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my collection hope I have not bored you with this long post.

WELCOM THE NEW YEAR 2016
"January is here, with eyes that keenly glow, a frost-mailed warrior striding a shadowy steed of snow" ~Edgar Fawcett~
"The first of January rolls around like clockwork it appears I find it timing most profound as it brings us each new year.
Right on time, it's never late as never ever blown it apparently this wise old date refuses to postpone it.
Drink a toast to January one for annual consistence it's coming means the old year's done let's drink to it's persistence. ~Stanley Cooper~
"January opens the box of the year and brings out days that are bright and clear and brings out days that are cold and grey and shouts, "Come see what I brought today." ~Leland B. Jacobs~
"Little January tapped at my door today. And said, "put on your winter wraps, and come outdoors and play." Little January is always full of fun; until the set of sun. Little January will stay a month with me and we will have such jolly time-just come along and see." ~Winifred c. Marshall~
Happy New Year may you be blessed this year.
