"There is no season when such pleasant and sunny spots may be lighted on, and produce so pleasant an effect on the feelings, as now in October." ~Nathaniel Hawthorne~
"October's the month when the smallest breeze gives us a shower of autumn leaves, bonfires and pumpkins, leaves sailing down - October is red and golden and brown."
~Author Unknown~
"October gave a party; the leaves by hundreds came. The chestnuts, oaks, and maples, and leaves of every name. The sunshine spread a carpet, and everything was grand, Miss Weather led the dancing, Professor Wind the band." ~George Cooper~

Dear Madeline, I so enjoy your posts! Your quotes are wonderful and your header is absolutely breathtaking!
The picture of the Autmum leaves is exactly what I need to see. No leaves turning as yet. Just looking a wee droopy. I long for the changing of the seasons and here it is still nearly as hot as it was this summer. Tomorrow is predicted to be 93 degree's. It's disappointing. Not a sign of Fall except a cool morning breeze. Thank you for stopping by and leaving me such a dear comments. You cannot know how appreciated it was! I seem to drift from blogging when life begins to happen here at home. I've a large family and things are bound to happen that need my undivided attention.
Love,
Mona
Wonderful verses for Autumn! The leaves around here are just starting to turn on a few trees. The zinnias have been pulled up, chrysanthemums potted up, the last 2 tomatoes picked, and the porch has been painted. It has turned a little cooler around here and I can't believe how much earlier it is starting to get dark.
Happy Autumn!
