APPLES TO MAKE APPLE SAUCE

Yesterday when my daughter, Deann, came over we picked the apples from my one apple tree. Her family likes homemade apple sauce. She had to shake the tree to get the ones at the top of the tree. In all we got a grocery bag full, enough to make a lot of apple sauce.

Oh, Applesauce. With all my cooking and fussing in the kitchen, I have never made applesauce. I should find some good apples and make some.
What is the right apple for applesauce? Green?, tart? I will look it up and do it.
Take care and let your daughter shake the tree for you.

There's nothing better than warm homemade applesauce on a cool Autumn afternoon. It not only tastes delicious, but it also makes the house smell wonderful!
