CACTUS, HYDRANGEAS, DAY LILIES

The cactus plant I planted many years ago is in bloom.
The wild oak hydrangea bushes that are in the back of the house are in full bloom.
My day lilies are also in bloom. They grow wild here in Alabama.
I love my flowers and working out in the yard. It looks like it is going to be a nice day so I'll be able to get out and enjoy the yard and do a little bit of yard work.

G'morning, Maddy,
Your flowers are really pretty. We don't have a lot of things in bloom yet...
We are in such a drought and on water restrictions so most of my flowers will be in pots. We can water only one day a week and we don't get much rain.
Enjoy working outside....

I remember my mother's cactus that bloomed in the spring. She would wait patiently to see the bloom form and was always amazed at the idea of something so beautiful blooming on a plant that was so rough and prickly.

Lovely photos. Enjoy all the flowers and the wonderful weather.

32 years is a long time to have to miss your mama but, it is just part of the Big Plan, I think. The funny thing is that I have trouble remembering things long ago but I still have a perfect picture of my mama in my mind, even after 24 years. I can see her, smell her, almost touch her at times. I really can feel her presence sometimes and I believe that God lets me do that, to feel her love again.
I hope my kids and grands will be able to "feel" me after I pass...I know the comfort it can give and I want them to have it, too. :))
Have a fantastic Mother's Day, Maddy.
love, bj
