Jack-o-lantern smiling bright
Witches flying in the night
Ghost and goblins, cats and bats
Witches with their funny hats
A full moon can't be beat
As we go out to trick or treat.

FORGIVE ME WHEN I WHINE
Forgive Me When I Whine
Today upon a bus , I saw
A lovely maid with golden hair;
I envied her --she seemed so gay --
And oh, I wished I were so fair.
And suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle;
She had one foot and wore a crutch,
But as she passed, a smile.
Oh God, forgive me when I whine;
I have two feet--the world is mine.
And when I stopped to buy some sweets,
The lad who served me had such charm.
He seemed to radiate good cheer,
His manner was so kind and warm.
I said,"It's nice to deal with you,
Such courtesy I seldom find."
He turned and said, "Oh thank you, sir!"
And then I saw that he was blind.
Oh God, forgive me when I whine,
I have two eyes---the world is mine.
Then when walking down the street,
I saw a child with eyes of blue.
He stood and watched the others play;
It seemed he knew not what to do.
I stopped a moment, then I said;
"Why don't you join the others, dear?"
He looked ahead without a word,
And then I knew, he could not hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine;
I have to ears--the world is mine.
With feet to take me where I'd go,
With eyes to see the sunset's glow,
With ears to hear what I would know;
I'm blessed indeed, the world is mine.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.

TRIP TO SELMA, ALABAMA
Today was another beautiful day here in Alabama.
My husband and I decided to take a drive down
south to Selma, Alabama. The drive was very
enjoyable the trees are starting to turn their
beautiful colors. Pictured below are some of the
sights we took in while in the old part of the town
of Selma.

This little picket fence and the decorations

craft business.
These stake outs were some we did also when we were in

I did not post all the pictures I
took of my decorations inside

WELCOME OCTOBER
"October is the month when the smallest breeze
gives us showers of autumn leaves. Bonfires and
pumpkins, leaves sailing down--October is red
and gold and brown."
~Can teach songs~
To me October is a month with crisp mornings,
leaves of red and gold, pumpkins of bright orange
made into jack-o-lanterns. Halloween with little
ghosts and goblins trick or treating from house to
house. A beautiful month to be hold.
