Mom was readmitted to the hospital yesterday (Monday). We have been told that her kidneys are not functioning (or at least are not functioning properly). Your prayers are requested for her and our family once again. Thanks!

I appreciate each and everyone who prayed for me during my recent hospital stay. It means a lot to have such good and caring friends. Please continue to pray for me. Madeline
As expected, Mom was moved from ICU to a regular room yesterday. The doctors are now saying that she should be able to go home in a few days! That's wonderful news to all of us!
Mom continues to improve. We were told yesterday she would be moved out of ICU and to a regular room as soon as one is available. Hopefully that will be today!
Mom had a much better day yesterday. The doctors seem to think that it may have been one of the medicines she was taking that was causing the heart irregularities. They were also talking about possibly moving her out of ICU and to a room today. Let's pray that's true!
Mom's heart inexplicably went into V-tach yesterday. They were able to finally get it back into a normal rhythm with medication. She still has pneumonia and remains in ICU.
Mom said that when all this was going on yesterday, she felt a sense of peace. I know it came from all of the prayers being said for her. Thanks so much!
A short while after being told she would be able to go home yesterday, Mom's oxygen levels dropped considerably, and her heart rate became irregular and had to be shocked back into a normal rhythm. She is now back in ICU while they try to figure out what caused all this to happen.
It's Mom's birthday! I know the best gift she could receive today is being told she is well enough to leave the hospital and go home. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before that wish comes true!
Mom's angiogram yesterday revealed severe blockages in two arteries. They put a stent in one but will wait a while before doing the other one. She is also still being treated for her pneumonia.
Mom is spending another night in the hospital, and is scheduled for an angiogram some time tomorrow. She truly appreciates all your prayers, as well as all the kind comments you have left for her here. Thanks so much!
Mom's surgery went well Friday, and she was allowed to come home Saturday afternoon (believe it or not). Early this morning, however, she started having difficulty breathing, so Dad and I had her taken back to the emergency room. A few hours later, she was admitted back to the hospital where they finally told us this evening that she has pneumonia. Hopefully once they get that cleared up, she will be able to return home for good!
Hello... it's Deann again. I just found out that Mom will be having surgery tomorrow morning to remove a blockage in her carotid artery. Your continued prayers are much needed and appreciated! Thanks!
Hello Everyone. My name is Deann, and I'm Madeline's daughter. I wanted to let all of you know that Mom had a mini-stroke Tuesday and is currently in the hospital. As far as we know, there are no lasting effects from the stroke, but the doctors are trying to get her blood pressure and sugar levels regulated and are going over the results of some tests to see what needs to be done next.
We would appreciate your prayers for Mom, our family, and the doctors during this time.
"March bustles in on windy feet and sweeps my doorstop and my street. She washes and cleans with pounding rains, scrubbing the earth of winter stains. She shakes the grime from carpet green till naught but fresh new blades are seen. Then, house in order, all neat as a pin, she ushers gentle springtime in." ~Susan Reiner~
