WELCOME THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER

"By all these lovely tokens September days are here, with summer's best of weather and autumn's best of cheer."
                   ~Helen Hunt Jackson~

"September days have the warmth of summer in their brief hours, but in their lengthening evenings a prophetic breath of autumn.  The cricket chirps in the noontide, making the most of what remains of his brief life.  The bumblebee is busy among the clover blossoms of the aftermath, and their shrill and dreamy now hold the outdoor world above the voices of the song birds, now silent or departed."
          ~Rowland E. Robinson~

"September fattens on wines .  Roses flake from the wall.  The smoke of harmless fires drifts to my eyes.  This is plenty.  This is more than enough"
             ~Geoffrey Holt~

"When the goldenrod is yellow, and leaves are turning brown - reluctantly the summer goes in a cloud of thistledown.  When squirrels are harvesting and birds in flight appear - by these autumn signs we know September days are here."
          ~Beverly Ashour~

SEPTEMBER SUNFLOWER DECORATIONS

The above photos are all of my outside decorations.   Some are tin that I got at Dollar General, Michaels and Hobby Lobby.  The wood picket fence I did years ago.

Most of my inside decorations were bought at Dollar Tree or
Wal-Mart. The table runners I ordered from Amason.

WELCOME THE MONTH OF AUGUST

"The brilliant poppy flaunts her head amidst the ripening grain and adds her voice to sell the song that August's here again."
           ~Helen Winslow~

"Fairest of the months! Ripe summers queen the hey-day of the year with robes that gleam with sunny sheen.  Sweet August doth appear."
            ~R Combe Miller~

"How sociable the garden was..  We ate and talked in given light.  The children put their toys to grass all the war wakeful August night."
          ~Thomas Gunn~
