QUOTE FOR THE DAY

One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look
back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and
do not be troubled about the future, for it has not
yet come. Live in the present, and make it so
beautiful it will be worth remembering.

POEM FOR ALL MY BLOGGING FRIENDS

Friendship is a priceless gift
That cannot be bought or sold
But its value is far greater
Than the mountain made of gold
For gold is cold and lifeless
It can neither see nor hear
And in the time of trouble
It is powerless to cheer...
It has no ears to listen
Nor heart to understand
It cannot bring you comfort
Or reach out a helping hand
So when you ask
God for a gift
Be thankful if he sends
Not diamonds, pearls or riches
But the love of real true friends.

Summer brings us nice
warm sun for swimming,
fishing, and lots of fun for
finding seashells in the
sand for sunbathing to get
a tan to do all these things
and more at the beach and
seashore.

HAVE A GREAT AND
WONDERFUL SUMMER

A PERFECT DAY

When you come to the end
of a perfect day, and you sit
alone with your thought, while
chimes ring out with carol gay,
for the joy that day has brought,
do you think what the end of a
perfect day can mean to a tired
heart, when the sun goes down
with a flaming ray and the dear
friends have to part?

Well this is the end of a perfect
day, near the end of a journey too,
but it leaves a thought that is big
and strong, with a wish that is kind
and true, for mem'ry has painted
this perfect day with colors that
never fade, and we find at the end
of a perfect day, the soul of a friend
we've made.

HAPPY FLAG DAY JUNE 14

You're a grand old flag, you're a high flying flag
and forever in peace may you wave.
~George M. Cohan~
We have room in this country for but one flag,
the Stars and Stripes...We have room for but
one loyalty, loyalty to the United States...

ETHAN ENJOYING THE POOL

My daughter, Debra, her husband,
their youngest son and his girlfriend
brought Ethan, my great grandson
up to swim yesterday afternoon.
I was so glad the weather cooperated
the sun stayed out all afternoon while
they were here. Ethan had a ball
swimming with his water wings on.
They were the first ones to use the
pool. Ethan is not afraid of the water
in fact he jumped off the diving board
in to the arms of his Uncle Grant.
Ethan swimming
Ethan just able to stand
up in the three foot part
of the pool.

Ethan loves the water and had a great
time. I wish he lived closer so he could
come and swim more often, but since
he and his family live in Texas that is
impossible. He is leaving tomorrow to
go back home after staying with his
grandparents for a week.

I have several vases with red, white and blue
flowers with flags.
This table is in the entrance hall with lady
liberty, candle and Flag.

I have eight of these decorations on different

JUNE

"It is the month of June, the month of leaves and roses,
When pleasant sights salute the eyes and pleasant scents
the noses."
~Nathaniel Parker Willis~

"Spring being a tough act to follow, God created June."
