WELCOME THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER

"By all these lovely tokens September days are here, with summer's best of weather and autumn's best of cheer."
          ~Helen Hunt Jackson~

"When the goldenrod is yellow, and leaves are turning brown - reluctantly the summer goes in a cloud of thistledown.   When squirrels are harvesting and birds in flight appear -  by these autumn signs we know September days are here."
            ~Beverly Ashour~

"I can hear September's leaf following me down the asphalt surface of Locust Street cartwheeling on pins when suddenly, it stops-- just to see if I'll turn to look."
      ~Author Unknown~

"Try to remember the kind of September when life was slow and oh so mellow.   Try to remember the kind of September when grass was green and grain so yellow.   Try to remember The kind of September when you were a young and a callow fellow.  Try to remember and if you remember then follow -- follow, oh-oh."
~Lyrics by Ton Jones and Harvey Schmidt~

Wishing you all A wonderful and blessed September.

WELCOME THE MONTH OF AUGUST

"Fairest of the months! Ripe summer's queen the hey-day of the year with robes that gleam with sunny sheen sweet August doth appear."
     ~R. Combe Miller~

"August rushes by like desert rainfall, a flood of  frenzied  upheaval, expected, but still catching me unprepared.  Like a matchflame bursting on the scene.   Heat and haze of crimson sunsets, like a dream of moon and dark barely recalled  a moment, shadows caught in a blink.   Like a quick kiss; one wishes for more but it suddenly turns to leave, dragging summer away."
          ~Elizabeth Maua Taylor~

"How sociable the garden was, we ate and talked in given light.  The children put their toys to grass all the warm wakeful August night."
        ~Thomas Gunn~

"Whilst August yet wears her golden drown ripening fields lush-bright with promise; summer waxes long, then wanes quietly passing her fading green glory onto riotous autumn."
         ~Michelle L. Thieme~

BALLOON FLOWERS, BLACKEYED SUSANS AND DAY LILIES

The black eyed susans and the purple balloon flowers that I have planted in front of my house.  The day lilies here have all ready bloomed and are gone.

One day lily still in bloom and the black eyed susans that mother nature put or the birds put the seeds there.

More black eyed susans and purple balloon flowers  that I planted around what used to be the fish pond.  In the back ground are the hanging ferns I buy every year and a pot of petunias.

Mother nature or the birds have scattered black eyed  susans seeds and they have come up all around my side yard.  Some I pulled up and transplanted and some I left.

More of mother natures or the birds work I have black eyed susans  in my little court yard.

Mother nature and the birds again at work in the court yard.   Click on pictures to get a closer look.

WELCOME THE MONTH OF JUNE

"It is the month of June, the month of leaves and roses, when pleasant sights salute the eyes and pleasant scents the noses."     ~Nathaniel Parker Willis~

"This is for June, and all the summers it brings for the chiming of the church bells... that sing in songs of matrimony o'er top hats and lace "fore June passes torch, to July scarlet face.

And the trees in full jacket, leaves forest green the last pink of magnolia, can still yet be seen there's a breeze in the air, that carries a scent sweet rose and honeysuckle in efflorescence.

Nights still cast a chill, but June has its motives an evening gift for all those amorously devoted to feel the magic of love whilst  under the moon makes one thankful , there be the month of June.
                         ~Frank James Ryan~
