WINTER WONDERLAND

This is a picture of the start of the snowy day
we had yesterday.

This is the after the snow stopped in the afternoon.

We only got 3 inches but it was enough for the

kids to have fun playing in it.

We always turn the bowls of our bird baths upside

down in the winter so they do not freeze and break.

I thought this was a cute picture. It looks like my

figurines are under an umbrella.

You can just see our neighbors house that lives

behind us.

This was taken in the late afternoon. I love the

sun set. I remember my mother saying red clouds

at night sailors delight. I hope I have not bored

you with all the pictures but it so seldom we get

enough snow to talk about. The sun is shinning

this morning so I know it will be gone soon only

to be a memory once again.

VALENTINE DECORATIONS

My valentine bunny my daughter, Deann, made
for me. I have had it for some time now.

a few of my valentine decorations I thought I'd

share with you.

PILLOWCASES

Another pair of pillowcases done. These are the

ones my daughter, Debra gave me for Christmas.

I did learn a new stitch with these (fish bone) it makes

the leaves look like they have a vein in the center.

LOVE

Love has hands to help others.

INVASION OF THE STARLINGS

This morning I happened to glance out the window
and what to my wondering eyes did I see,
starlings, they covered the front yard, the back yard
and my neighbors yard. I love to watch them
so many in the flock and what a noise they make.
You can clap your hands and off they fly up to
the trees and another yard.

PILLOWCASES - HAND EMBROIDERED

This is what I have been doing during the cold
weather we had for a couple of weeks. My
daughter, Deann, gave these pillowcases to me
as part of my Christmas gift. I was taught to
embroider as a very young girl and I still enjoy
enjoy doing it. I have another pair I am working
on now that my daughter, Debra, gave me. When
I am finished with them will post pictures. Click

A POEM----WINTER AGAIN

Winter Again

Another winter has come

your head and hands go numb

looking forward to the frost and snow

nights spent near the fire watching the embers glow

HOME IN THE HOLLOW

Home In The Hollow

There's a home in the hollow with a bubbling stream,
where I can lay down and dream and dream;
and I can go places where I've never been.
And I can be old or a young child again,
a home in the hollow where peace lives on,
where life can stand still with the breaking of dawn.

There's a home in the hollow with tall, tall trees,
where wee creatures live way high in the leaves;
and each night they gather on their porches to sing,

FOUR OF MY ELEVEN GRANDCHILDREN

and I try to go out and see them at least once a year.

are very special to me. Now that

I have two great grandchildren they

to see them that often because they
