HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUMMER

Summer here's wishing
you a wonderful day and
a beautiful birthday. May
God grant you many many
more. Love you.

MYSTERY BUSH

Pictured above are the berries this mystery
bush produces in the fall. In the spring it has
a pink cluster of flowers. I have two large
bushes in the back of my house. I would like
to know the name if anyone can tell me I
would appreciate it. I did not plant them
they have have just come up wild. Pictured
below is one of the bushes.

TEA AND FRIENDSHIP TUESDAY

A single rose can be my
garden... a single friend,
my world.
~Sicilian Proverb~

Hoping everyone had a
great Tea and Friendship
Tuesday.

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF FALL

Autumn

When the trees their summer splendor
change to raiment red and gold. When
the summer moon turns mellow, and the
nights are getting cold, when the squirrels
hide their acorns, and the woodchucks
disappear, then we know that it is autumn,
loveliest season of the year.

~Charlotte L. Riser~

Here's wishing everyone a spectacular fall.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KARL

A very Happy Birthday the best you
can recall from the person whose life
you share and loves you most of all.

The person who hopes you're happy
every moment of your life. I've always
been so proud and glad to be your
loving wife.

Happy Birthday to the best husband
in the world. With all my love Madeline

CAULIFLOWER MUSHROOM

Pictured above is a cauliflower mushroom
I found in the woods next to our property.
It brought back memories of when growing
up in northern California during the fall
my dad would take us mushroom hunting.
It was fun finding the different kinds that
were edible. After we got home we would
clean the mushrooms (scrape off the dirt)
then my dad would slice them up and we
kids had the job of spreading them on screens
that my dad had made to go on a rake that
he also made to go over the stove to dry the
mushroom. After they were dried they were
sacked up in large cloth sacks and we waited
for the buyers from San Francisco to come up
and purchase what they wanted for their
restaurants. It was a good way to make a
little extra money. Of course my mother would
save some for our own use. She made the best
spaghetti sauce.

TEA AND FRIENDSHIP TUESDAY

If instead of a gem, or even
a flower, we should cast the
gift of a loving thought into
the heart of a friend, that
would be giving as the angels
give.
~George Macdonald~

GRANDPARENTS DAY

PATRIOT DAY

On this day, we honor those who died and those
who served heroically durning the worst terrorist
attacks in United States history.

On September 11, 2001, almost three thousand
people died in New York, Washington, D.C. and
in the fields of Pennsylvania.

Let us, for the sake of our children and grandchildren,
never forget.

NAME THIS FLOWER

Pictured above is a plant that I bought a couple

of years ago at a yard sale. It has one of the most

beautiful blooms I have seen. As you can see it

is the color of purple and white, cone shaped, and

it is ruffled at the top. If anyone knows the name

of this plant I would appreciate letting me know.

LABOR DAY WEEKEND

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Labor Day
weekend.

HUMMINGBIRD

After watching two hummingbirds for two days
visiting my feeders. I finally was able to capture
this photo of one while he or she was having its
lunch. Click on photo to enlarge so you can see
the hummingbird.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEYTON

Wishing my youngest granddaughter,
Peyton, a very Happy Birthday, five
years old today. Hope your birthday
is full of fun. We love you.

TEA AND FRIENDSHIP TUESDAY

Let us be grateful to people
who make us happy, they
are the charming gardeners
who make our souls blossom.
~Marcel Proust~
