SPRING TIME IN CENTRAL ALABAMA

I think spring time is a beautiful time of the
year. Here in Alabama the azaleas , wisteria,
red bud trees and dog wood trees are in full
bloom. Wild flowers are blooming everywhere.
Pictured above and below are some of my
azaleas bushes in all their glory. I have at last
count 85 azaleas and they are just full of blooms
this year.

Most of our back yard is left to nature. Put we
planted azaleas to add color.

More of our back yard which has a wet weather
creek running when we have a good rain.

More of the azaleas blooming in the back yard.

These are in the back of the storage shed where
I keep all my outside decoration stored.

I tried to get a good picture of the front yard
with all the azaleas in it.
This is in the front yard .
More of the azaleas in the front yard. You
can see I have pink, red, white, peach and the
one here that is pink is really a fuchsia color.
Hope you have enjoyed Spring time here at
my house .

WELCOME FIRST DAY OF SPRING

The year's at the spring and day's at the morn;
Morning's at seven; the hillside's dew-pearled;
The lark's on the wing; the snail's on the thorn.
God's in his heaven- all's right with the world!
~Robert Browning~
As you can see from the photo above spring
has arrived at my house. This is my dogwood
tree in full bloom.

PICNIC AT COSBY LAKE

Today was another beautiful day here in central
Alabama. Husband and I decided to go on a
picnic at Cosby Lake a park near where we live.
We bought some fried chicken, potato salad, we
also had sliced tomato. After lunch I took a walk
around the lake while my husband sat a watched
the kids and grown-ups feed the geese and ducks.

IRISH AT HEART

I am not Irish I am Italian but I guess you can
say I am Irish at heart. Pictured above and
below are some of my St. Patrick's Day decorations
As most of you know I love decorating my yard
and inside of the house for every holiday that comes
along.

The little ty bear and mug are some of my yard
sale finds. The shamrocks were purchased at
the Dollar Tree.

Window cling on not sure if they are more
yard sale finds or if I got them at the Dollar Tree.
Green green everywhere.
I just love this leprechaun candy dish another
yard sale find.
The bunny dressed in green was made by my
daughter, Deann, the wood shamrock with
the saying Irish at Heart was made by me.
Green candle and shamrocks on my coffee table
in my Victorian room
Banner over the arch way from kitchen to our
small little back room.
Table in small back room decorated with shamrocks
and a Happy St. Patrick's Day decoration.
Another cute leprechaun.
In the corner of the kitchen this little white
tree with hanging shamrocks. The green and
white mat I crochet. Click on pictures to

BEAUTIFUL DAY HERE IN CENTRAL ALABAMA

I just could not resist taking some pictures of
some of the flowering bushes around the house
when I went out to enjoy the beautiful day we
had here today. This is just one of my azalea
bushes that are in bloom or that have buds
ready to bloom any day now. My husband
even got out and enjoyed sitting in the swing.
He is feeling some better, the doctor is letting
him rest for 3 weeks before he starts chemo
treatments again.

Another bush, not sure of the name of it and
in the background another azalea bush.
Pink thrift and another azalea bush. Some
of my St. Patrick's Day decorations. Click
on pictures to enlarge for a better view
of the flowers.

HUSBAND HOME FROM HOSPITAL

My husband, Karl, is home from the
hospital. He seem to be doing quite
well. He and I are both glad that he
is home back in his own bed, no nurses
taking blood then giving him blood. He
does have a lot of medicine he has to take
but that is no big thing. I want to thank
all my blogging friends for their prayers.

WELCOME MONTH OF MARCH

"The March wind roars like a lion in the sky,
and makes us shiver as he passes by.
When winds are soft, and the days are warm
and clear, just like a gentle lamb, then spring
is here."
