HOT..HOT..HOT

It is 4:15 p.m. and the temperature according
to my computer is 98 degrees here in Pinson
and it feels like 107 degrees. My thermometer
on the front porch reads 116 degrees. The sun
is shinning directly on it. When you walk out
of the house it is like walking into a blast furnace.
Thank God we have central air.

SMILES

What sunshine is to flowers, smiles
are to humanity. These are but
trifles, to be sure; but, scattered
along life's pathway, the good they
do is inconceivable.

VISITORS TO MY GARDEN

Garden spider with unique web.

While photographing the butterflies below this
small hummingbird decided to get some nectar
from my hummingbird feeder. Click on the
picture to see the hummingbird he is on the
left hand side of the bird feeder.

It was fun watching this butterfly going from
bloom to bloom. It was a beautiful yellow and
black one.

This was the first one I saw this morning It went
from bloom to bloom , it was as you can see black
with orange and blue markings. After it was done
the yellow with black markings came. Gods creatures
are a wonderful sight to behold.

ENJOYING MY POOL AGAIN

I have been feeling a lot better and have been
enjoying my pool whenever the weather permits.
I have been doing a few laps but no where as
many as I used to do. It does feel good to be doing
what I love swimming...We put in our pool in the
year 1980 and it has been a joy for our children ,
grandchildren and great grandchildren. I have
taught almost all of my grandchildren to swim. I
am having a great summer and I hope all of you
are too.

WHAT IS IT-WATERMELON OR CANTALOUPE

When my husband planted his tomato plants he
used some of the material from his compost pile.
Lo and behold this vine came up around his
tomato plants. We left it to see what it was. It now
has numerous blooms and one small fruit which we
are watching to see what it is going to turn out to be.

HONG KONG PROVERB

As long as we have hope, we have direction, the
energy to move, and the map to move by. We
have a hundred alternatives, a thousand paths
and an infinity of dreams. Hopeful we are halfway
to where we want to go; hopeless, we are lost forever.

JULY

The most beautiful month of the year
Fireworks and patriotism
Grilling and road trips
A break from the grind and overtime
A time to relax
To be with family and friends
~ Adam Smith~
